I directed THE WAY I FEEL for Keane on May 9th and what a hoot we had. The original inspiration for the film came from Richard Hughes who was keen, forgive the pun, to place the band in some form of jeopardy. We toyed with constricting their movement by boxing them into increasing small spaces, crushing their instruments and tipping them back and forth on a gimbal stage, but it was way too ambitious and costly in the time frame, so we ended up with multiple ropes pulled by unseen forces and an inflatable floor. It was, as I said up front a hoot, but it took a lot of work to reach hoot status. The band were100% into the jeopardy theme and worked their collective nuts off to deliver the required level of physicality whilst navigating the primary directive - ‘Expect The Unexpected’ and, short of a few minor cuts and bruises, went home happy. To date the film has racked up over 4 million views on YouTube which suggests a vigorous KEANE style return to global ears and eyes.
